No Dockplus AI server

NoteAssistant has no account, no server and no analytics. Dockplus AI does not receive your calls, your files or your keys.

Audio and transcription

The app records your microphone and your Mac's audio only while you press ▶. With the on-device engine, transcription happens on your Mac and the audio never leaves it. If you choose the OpenAI engine, the audio goes to OpenAI with your own key, under OpenAI's terms.

Suggestions, summaries and improvements

To write a suggestion or a summary, the app sends the recent transcript and your assistant's files to the provider you chose: Claude by Anthropic or OpenAI, with your own key. With the on-device model, that text stays on your Mac.

Files on your Mac

Each call is saved as a text file in Documents/NoteAssistant. Your assistants, files and call history are stored in Library/Application Support/NoteAssistant. You can delete both folders at any time.

API keys

Your keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and are sent only to the provider they belong to.

Updates

The app checks for new versions at noteassistant.dockplusai.io. That check sends a normal web request with the app version, and no information about you or your calls.
